Live For Christ

Posted by The Rev. Albert Bailey on Saturday, August 21, 2010, In : Receiving The Word

Scriptural Ground

Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. (John 15:20 NIV)

Prayer of Approach

Almighty God from whom comes life, strengthen me now for the task that is ahead, the task that will reveal whether you are respected or whether you are rejected. You have assigned me this responsibility. You have granted me this opportunity to ser...

Recover Your Prayer Time

Scriptural Ground

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. (Colossians 4:2 NIV)

Prayer of Approach

Lord God Almighty, your presence surrounds my life. You are with me when I awake. You do not forsake me when my eyes are closed in rest. Surely you are a shield to my life. You protect me in all that I undertake to do as I seek to glorify your most holy and precious Name. Surely you are the God who wants me to be open to you at all times. You want me to practise the ...

Stabilize Your Life

Posted by The Rev. Albert Bailey on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, In : Receiving The Word

Scriptural Ground

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV).

Prayer of Approach

You know, O God, the need that I have for your truth. It is your truth that sustains me to bring forth praise that honours you. Separate my mind from what produces confusion, anger and pain. Place your path to life before me and strengthen me to walk in it that I may be free to serve you aright that your Name may be...

About the Lord

The Bible teaches that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23 NIV). It is also written that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23 NIV). Do you know that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16 NIV)? It is also written: "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24 NIV). Jesus said: "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in" (Revelation 3:20 NIV). Dear friend, what is happening in your life? Are you experiencing the effects of sin, the evidence of death? Jesus died on the cross, bearing your sins so that you would not perish in death. Do hear His invitation to open your being and your life to Him that you may not continue to perish. Say this prayer that you may receive God's gift of eternal life right now: Lord Jesus, there is the presence of sin and the evidence of death in my life. Thank you for bearing my sins on the Cross. I need the gift of eternal life. In your Name, Lord Jesus, I do now open every door of my being and of my life to you. Come in and let me experience all that eternal life is meant to be for me. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen.
