So then, welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him, Philippians 2:29 NIV).

Prayer of Approach

You, O God, are the source of life. You are able to bring blessing to the lives of those around us as we submit ourselves to you and do your will. Be at work in me that those who encounter me may be touched by your presence. Let me know your Word of truth that I may speak it into the situations which confront me. Scriptural Ground

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. (Romans 15:1 NIV)

Prayer of Approach

About the Lord

The Bible teaches that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23 NIV). It is also written that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23 NIV). Do you know that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16 NIV)? It is also written: "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24 NIV). Jesus said: "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in" (Revelation 3:20 NIV). Dear friend, what is happening in your life? Are you experiencing the effects of sin, the evidence of death? Jesus died on the cross, bearing your sins so that you would not perish in death. Do hear His invitation to open your being and your life to Him that you may not continue to perish. Say this prayer that you may receive God's gift of eternal life right now: Lord Jesus, there is the presence of sin and the evidence of death in my life. Thank you for bearing my sins on the Cross. I need the gift of eternal life. In your Name, Lord Jesus, I do now open every door of my being and of my life to you. Come in and let me experience all that eternal life is meant to be for me. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen.
